Girls of Yellow Diamonds

A moving exploration of the stories, identities, and experiences of Asian American women through music written by Asian American women composers. This recital provides a snapshot of the beautifully diverse lives of Asian American women while proving how these stories are ultimately relatable to all women.

About the Knoxville Opera Salon Series

Experience vocal music at its most intimate in the Knoxville Opera Salon Series, a new recital series presented in partnership with the historic Eugenia Williams House. Each recital is presented twice, giving audiences two opportunities to attend.

Featuring acclaimed guest artists and familiar Knoxville favorites with collaborative pianist Eileen Downey, the series brings audiences just steps from the performers. With elegant surroundings and exceptional artistry, each salon offers a rare opportunity to experience the beauty and power of the human voice up close.
